Kurt graduated in 1971 with A.B. from the University of Missouri-Columbia and received his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1974. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar and U.S. District Court, 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, in 1974. He is a trained mediator.
Kurt began his career in Jefferson County with Pannell, Dodson and Robinson. He then worked a few years for a Clayton labor law firm handling civil and workers’ compensation cases before returning to Jefferson County.
In 1983, he and Jay Nixon started the current firm. Kurt has been in the Festus location for over 40 years.
